Taking criticism is hard. But then, so is taking compliments. Obscurity is a luxury.

The number of the subject determines the number of the verb.

Confidence and apathy sometimes look similar on the outside, but behind closed doors one of them is doing work. And anyways, work is the only thing you can control. You can’t control being brilliant, being clever, being inspired. You can’t control what people want or love. You can only control sitting down at your desk every day and trying to do something good.

There’s a saying: The muse always finds the artist working.

Sometimes projects tank and it’s nobodies fault.

In the end, mostly, I just want to create one good thing. One thing worth somebody’s time to experience. One thing that’s honest and beautiful and true. And after that, I want to create another.

Sometimes things just work. It’s called magic.
